Whiskey Peach Smash

from The Craft of the Cocktail

  • 4 small quarters of Peach
  • 3 leaves of Mint
  • 2 pieces of Lemon
  • 1 ounce Water
  • .5 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 2 ounces Canadian Whiskey
  • 1 sprig of Mint
  • slice of Peach (Garnish)

Muddle all the ingredients except the whiskey in a bar glass. Add the whiskey and shake with ice. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with the sprig of mint and the peach slice.

Canadian Club makes a sherry-barrel whiskey that works well in this recipe, but it will work equally well with other American whiskies.
