Shake well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the flamed orange peel.
This drink was rescued from the 1930s and has been used with great success by Grand Marnier for promotions. It was originally promoted by the Booths Gin Company after it won first place in their 1933 cocktail competition, and it was originally served in a glass rimmed with lemon and sugar.
