Embassy Cocktail

from The Craft of the Cocktail

  • .75 ounce Brandy
  • .75 ounce Cointreau
  • .75 ounce Appleton Jamaican Rum
  • .5 ounce Lime Juice
  • Dash Angostura Bitters
  • piece of Lime (Garnish)

Shake well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with lime piece.

The brandy-and-rum combination was used often in nogs and holiday punches and in an occasional cocktail like this one from the Embassy Club, Hollywood, 1930.
