Chocolate Punch

from The Craft of the Cocktail

  • 1 ounce Cognac
  • .5 ounce Ruby Port
  • .5 ounce Dark Crème De Cacao
  • .5 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 1 ounce Heavy Cream
  • Nutmeg (Garnish)

Shake all the ingredients very well with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Grate a little nutmeg on top.

This is the ultimate dessert drink, and it is so rich that it must be shared. I found the recipe in The Flowing Bowl by William Schmidt, 1891.
