Apricot-Mango Martini

from The Craft of the Cocktail

  • 2 pieces of Mango
  • 2.5 ounces Tanqueray No. Ten Gin
  • .5 ounce Apricot Liqueur
  • .5 ounce Simple Syrup
  • .75 ounce Lemon Juice

Muddle the mango in the bottom of the mixing glass and add all other ingredients. Shake well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the lemon peel.

I created this cocktail to be served with lobster ravioli with leek and red pepper sauce at a cocktail dinner with chef Andre Guerrero, at Linq Restaurant in Los Angeles.
